John William Whitsell arrived into this world far too soon, on January 22, 2025.  Born in Sioux Falls, SD, at Avera McKennan Hospital.

John William was lovingly welcomed by his parents, Jordan and Kristen Whitsell of Sioux Falls, SD.  While his time on earth was brief, he was lovingly held, kissed, and cuddled by his parents and grandparents, Keith and Julie Dykstra, Renner, SD, and Barry and Maggie Whitsell, Sheldon, IA.

He was baptized a child of God by a close family friend, Pastor John Christopherson.  John William was called to his Heavenly home on January 23, 2025 and was welcomed by a host of family including his Grandma: Joan Whitsell; Great Grandparents: Bill and Opal Westerdahl, Louis and Arlene Dykstra, William T. Whitsell, and Helen Short.

John is survived by his parents, Jordan and Kristen Whitsell; Grandparents, Keith and Julie Dykstra and Barry and Maggie Whitsell; Great-Grandparents, Iola Whitsell and Jim Short; Aunts and Uncles: Tyler and Chaely Anderson, Lance Dykstra, Megan Whitsell, Tanner Whitsell and Candace Carey, Josh and Caitlin Jensen and Megan Jensen; Cousins:  Ella Anderson, Gabe Anderson, Jace Anderson and Everett Whitsell.
