Judith (Judy) Jacobs, Sioux Falls, SD, died peacefully Sunday, April 6th, 2025, at Avantara, Lake Norden, SD. She was 80 years old.. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Miller Funeral Home - Westside Chapel (6200 W. 41st. St., Sioux Falls, SD.) Private interment will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Judith May Wittrock was born September 30th, 1944, at Sioux Falls, SD, to Floyd and Bernice Wittrock. She attended Washington High School.

Judy was united in marriage with Donald O. Jacobs on June 21st, 1980, and together they farmed, raising cattle and pigs.  She served on the Hartford American Legion Auxiliary.  After retiring from farming, Judy worked at Wal-Mart for several years until her full retirement.  Judy was also a member of Peace Lutheran Church.

In her younger years, she enjoyed hunting and fishing with her husband. When they were not hunting and fishing, she enjoyed playing cards with friends and family or playing bean bags so she could be outside enjoying the outdoors.  She also enjoyed racing; she raced at tracks in California and raced front wheel drive cars at I-90 speedway in Hartford.

Grateful for sharing her life are her sons, Russell (Stacy) Peterson and Ricky (Sandy) Peterson; daughter, Tonya Peterson; stepchildren, Randy Jacobs (Cindy Myers), Sandra (Steve) Bones, and Gloria (Dennis) Matthews; and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald O. Jacobs; five brothers; three sisters; and her parents, Elmer and Bernice Hanson.
