Kenneth Eugene Jones, age 63, of Sioux Falls, SD, passed away on August 21, 2025.

Ken was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the youngest of three children to Charles and Cheryl (Anderson) Jones. At the age of six, he and his family moved to Sioux Falls, where he attended Linwood Elementary, Jane Addams Elementary, and Whittier Junior High. His high school years were spent at Lincoln High School in Sioux Falls and in Dickinson, North Dakota, where he graduated from Dickinson High School. Ken went on to attend Dickinson State University before beginning a career in the North Dakota oil fields.

While living in Dickinson, Ken met Mary Miller, and together they welcomed their daughter, Kristin.

Over the years, Ken's path led him to California and later back to Sioux Falls. Ken worked as a salesman for Food Services of America, where he was well known for his warm personality and ability to connect with others. Later in life, he faced significant medical challenges that nearly took his life and limited his ability to work.

Ken was an avid sports fan, with a love for football and the Kansas City Chiefs. He will be remembered for his easygoing nature, his wide circle of friends, and the bonds he shared with his extended family.

Ken is survived by his daughter Kristin (Tony) Lere, Erie, CO; three grandchildren, Owen, Ryan and Sophia; Mother, Cheryl Haacke; Sister Janelle Anders, West Des Moines, IA Brother Timothy Jones, Phoenix AZ; nephews Kevin Anders, San Diego, CA, Brian (Alison) Anders, Atascadero, CA; Niece, Shannon Anders, West Des Moines, IA; step-mother Darlene Jones.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles and step-father, Lauren Haacke.
