Larry L. Baden, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at Ava's House in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Miller Funeral Home – Southside Chapel (7400 S Minnesota Ave., Sioux Falls, SD) with family present for visitation at 10:30 am. Lunch will follow services. Interment will occur at 1:00 pm at the South Dakota State Veterans Cemetery.

Larry was born on February 2, 1942 to Alfred and Areline (Dreesen) Baden in Pipestone, Minnesota. He attended school in Jasper, Minnesota and graduated from Jasper High School in 1960. Larry then joined the Army in December of 1961 and served until December 1964. Larry worked at First National Bank of Pipestone, Minnesota, State Bank/Northern Bank of Anoka, Minnesota, and First National Bank of Elk River, Minnesota – the Anoka Branch.

Larry married Judith Fjellanger on December 16, 1967. The couple lived in Anoka, Minnesota for 30 years. They then retired to Brainerd, Minnesota to their lake home in 1997. After retirement they spent winters in Arizona. The couple moved to Sioux Falls in 2015.

Larry enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. While in Arizona he also enjoyed playing golf and four wheeling as well as being a tour guide for all visitors. He really loved playing cards with all their friends.

Larry is survived by his wife, Judy Baden of Sioux Falls; his brother, Clayton (Janice) Baden of Sun Tan Valley, AZ; his sister-in-law, Verla Baden of Brandon, SD; and many nieces and nephews, and great friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Glenn.

Memorials may be made to Ava's House (Sanford Hospice) or to the South Dakota State Veterans Cemetery in Larry's honor.
