Obituary

Lisa Jessie Elizabeth Cartwright, who went by "Elizabeth," age 56, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She is survived by her companion, Andrew Zeutzius.

Elizabeth was born on November 27, 1968 to Robert Cartwright and Carol (Hillyer) Richards in Portland Oregon. She attended Forest Grove High School and earned her GED. Elizabeth was frequently traveling for new experiences, living in Washington, New Mexico, and Colorado before making it back to Portland where she met her life partner, Andrew Zeutzius. The couple have been joined in their hearts and their souls since July 3, 2012. The pair then settled in many different places, including Portland, Wrangell, Alaska and Bozeman, Montana before recently settling in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

To be Elizabeth was to be creative and she exemplified her unique spirit in a variety of arts. She began with sculpting and silver smithing, moving on to painting and illustration before she started writing. Elizabeth penned many books about conceptualizing wholeness and a sense of completeness. She strongly believed that people come into this world already whole and complete, and was passionate about a person not needing to change oneself to achieve this.

Elizabeth was driven by love, truth, positive flow and energy. She was a believer in miracles of God's creation and would find them in both the big and small things that life had to offer. Animals and plants held a special place in Elizabeth's heart. She had an endless devotion to those that she loved.

Elizabeth is survived by her life partner, Andrew Zeutzius; and her children, Alexandra Cuddigan and Christian Cartwright.
