Lois Frances (Dressen) Rasmussen, 88, of Sioux Falls, SD passed away peacefully on
December 16, 2025. She was born in Ghent, MN to Clarence and Mary Dressen and
graduated from Marshall Senior High School. She enjoyed her work as a switchboard
operator in Marshall before marrying Roger Rasmussen in January 1956 in Tyler, MN.

Roger and Lois settled in Sioux Falls, SD in 1961and loved raising their family there
while Roger was engaged in his trucking business. Lois enjoyed being a homemaker for
her family while sharing her love of gardening, sewing, and entertaining with her family
and others. In 1976, they moved to Marshall, MN, where together they pursued a
different line of business. They resided until 1992 when they returned to Sioux Falls to
live out their later years.

In her retirement, Lois was an active member of the Sioux Falls Quilters Guild and many
various sewing circles. She was frequently found enjoying a game of mahjong with
friends and was a dedicated baby rocker in the neonatal unit of Sanford Hospital with 29
years of volunteer service there.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband Roger, her sister Marjorie Malec, and great
granddaughter Harper Skajewski. She is survived by her five children Richard
Rasmussen of Virginia, Randy (Debra) Rasmussen of South Dakota, Rhonda
Rasmussen of Tennessee, Rolinda Branham of Texas, and Ruth (Pliny) Jewell of
Florida, along with six grandchildren and six great grandchildren
