Lucille Margaret (Thomas) Boyer, 90, of Sioux Falls, SD passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 in her room at Good Samaritan Village in Sioux Falls, SD.  She spent her final days in the company of family, and friends.  She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and members of the nursing staff.

Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Monday, September 8, at St Lambert Catholic Parish, 1000 S. Bahnson Ave., Sioux Falls, SD.

Graveside Rites will be at 2:00 pm Monday, September 8, at Calvary Cemetery, Mitchell, SD.

Lucille Margaret Thomas, daughter of John and Susan (Brech) Thomas, was born August 23, 1935 in Tripp, SD and was the oldest of an active rural family where she learned to love baseball and farm life.

She is a graduate of the South Dakota School for the Deaf.  She then went on to marry Donald Boyer of Minneapolis, MN and had two daughters, Dawn Boozier, and Deborah Wockenfuss.

She loved fishing, gardening, and watching her Minnesota Twins.  She had many artistic hobbies over the years and was an active member in the deaf community.

Lucille is survived by her three grandchildren, who she loved dearly, Christopher, Amy and Curtis; 3 great grandchildren, Brant, Skylar and Sebastian Boozier; daughters, Dawn (Michael Liberty), Deborah (Jeff Wockenfuss); and two brothers, Allen (Marge)Thomas, and Dale (Ruth) Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Susan Thomas; three sisters, Delores Brutty, Ila Christensen, Paulette Takeda; and one brother, Verlyn.
