Mardean C. Trobak, 93, of Sioux Falls, SD passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Sanford/USD Medical Center, Sioux Falls, SD.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Wednesday, July 2, at Miller Funeral Home Southside Chapel, 7400 S. Minnesota Ave., Sioux Falls, SD with burial at West Nidaros Cemetery, rural Crooks, SD. The family will be present to greet friends one hour prior to the service.
Mardean C. Seeman, daughter of Clarence and Myrtle (Nelsen) Seeman, was born January 24, 1932 in Jasper, MN. She grew up there graduating from Jasper High School in 1949. Following high school, she worked as a switchboard operator until she married.
Mardean was united in marriage with Dale Trobak on March 27, 1951 in Jasper, MN. They moved to Sioux Falls, SD where they were blessed with two sons, Dale "Rick" and Jerome "Jerry". She loved being a homemaker for her family. Mardean was a very good cook.
Mardean was a lunch room aide at Horace Mann Elementary and in 1974 began working with Weightwatchers until her retirement in 1992.
She was a longtime member of Hope Lutheran Church, and was active in the ladies aide. She was a member of the Women of The Moose. She volunteered at Avera Mc Kennan for several years. Mardean enjoyed reading and baking.
Grateful for having shared her life are two sons, Rick (Sandra) Trobak, Sioux Falls, SD and Jerry Trobak, Rapid City, SD; two grandchildren, Victoria "Tori" Trobak, St. Paul, MN and Tom Trobak, Sioux Falls, SD; two brothers and three sisters, Doug Seeman, Jim Seeman, LaRae Johnson, Nancy Brau, Carolyn Shumway; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Trobak; her parents, Clarence and Myrtle Seeman; and a brother, Bruce Seeman; and five in-laws, Ramona Seeman, Donna Seeman, Cal Johnson, Ken Brau, Roy Shumway.
