Marion Chambers, 93 of Sioux Falls, SD, joined her husband William in heaven on Monday, October 5, 2026, at the Good Samaritan Village.

Visitation with the family present will begin at 12 pm with a funeral service beginning at 1 pm on Friday, October 16, 2026, at the Miller Funeral Home Downtown Chapel, 507 South Main Avenue with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Marion Louise Sisson, daughter of Newell and Marcella (Reichard) Sisson, was born on February 8, 1933, in Sioux Falls, SD. She grew up in Sioux Falls and graduated from Washington High School.

As a senior in high school, Marion met William Chambers. The couple was united in marriage during a double wedding on July 18, 1952 in Sioux Falls, SD, along with her sister Donna and her husband and Clayton “CJ” Dawson. Together, Marion and Bill began to raise a family. Marion worked in customer service at Davenport Evans, Austads, Hardees, and Shopko. After retiring, the couple enjoyed flying model airplanes, camping, and time at their cabin at Lake Madison.

William passed away on December 26, 2007. Marion remained in Sioux Falls and went on bus trips and spent time watching grandchildren.

Grateful for having shared her life are her children Connie Harmdierks, Sioux Falls, SD, Newell and his wife NormaJean Chambers, Sioux Falls, SD, Jeff Chambers, Sioux Falls, SD, Rose Chambers Gunn and her husband Norm, Sioux Falls, SD; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Marion was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William, and her sister Donna Dawson.
