Marsha Dunnick, 57, of Sioux Falls, SD passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Sanford/USD Medical Center, Sioux Falls, SD surrounded by loved ones.

Marsha Jean Dunnick, daughter of Harold and Sherylle (Elliott) Steinfurth, was born July 7, 1967 in Sioux Falls, SD. Seven seemingly becoming her favorite number as she was the 7th grandchild, on the 7th month on the 7th day. She spent most of her childhood and teen years at the family farm near Hartford, SD. On the farm she was responsible for milking cows and other chores.  She graduated from West Central High School in 1986.  Upon graduating Marsha began working as a waitress, where she enjoyed hospitality work. In addition to hospitality work, she enjoyed taking care of others and working in retail.

In 1988 she became a proud and blessed mom to Fawn, welcoming her second daughter Stormy in 1994. In 2000 she married Rod Dunnick, upon this unity they became a blended family, adding another daughter Alicia. Rod and Marsha shared 23 years together.

Marsha loved to spend her free time in the kitchen, she loved to cook and bake and was always creative in making recipes her own. She was always a phone call away to answer a question while making a recipe but she could never tell you for sure because she measured everything with love. Her speciality dish was her chicken noodle soup, which made its appearance at every family Christmas and she was always ready to make it for anyone feeling under the weather.

She loved spending time outside, whether that be gardening, landscaping or trying new hobbies. She had a green thumb and always enjoyed taking care of her plants.  In addition to being outside, she recently began a new hobby of cross stitching, a hobby that allowed her to binge her favorite Lifetime and Hallmark movies. She was never afraid to step up and take action and be a leader and you could always count on her for taking a spontaneous adventure.

Grateful for having shared her life are her daughters and grandchildren, Fawn (Derek) Giese and their children, JaeLynn, Willow, Ryleigh, Vaeda, Renley, Camden, Sioux Falls, SD, Stormy (Ben) Reznicek, Sioux Falls, SD, Alicia (Josh) Brehm, and their children, Mallorie, Jackston, Grayson; her mother, Sherry
