Mary Louise Cadwell, age 83, of Sioux Falls, SD, passed away peacefully on February 20th, 2026, at Ava's House in Sioux Falls.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on March 7th, 2026, at Hope Lutheran Church (1700 S Cliff Ave) in Sioux Falls, SD. Family will be present one hour prior to greet friends. Following a reception luncheon, the burial will be at Hills of Rest Cemetery in Sioux Falls, SD.

Mary Louise Cadwell, daughter of Lawrence and Henrietta Knutson, was born May 24, 1942, in Inwood, IA. She received her education at West Lyon Community School and graduated in 1960. She moved to Sioux Falls when she was 18 years old.
She began her professional career in 1980 at the Census Bureau, followed by Sears Payment Systems (SPS), Dean Whitter, Discover Financial Group, and Citigroup, retiring in 2003 as an Administrative Assistant.
Mary was united in marriage with Douglas Cadwell on September 29, 1961, in Inwood, IA. The couple was blessed with four wonderful children, David, Jay, Victoria, and Scott. She will be remembered as a devoted Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother, and dear friend by many.
Survivors include her four children, David Cadwell and his wife, Maureen, Phoenix, AZ, Jay Cadwell and his wife, Valerie, Las Vegas, NV, Victoria Bergman and her husband, Christopher, Sioux Falls, SD, Scott Cadwell and his wife Karen, Phoenix, AZ; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Leroy Knutson and his wife, Michiyo, San Antonio, TX, Donna Beck and her husband, William, Lennox, SD, Diane Mouw, Phoenix, AZ, and many other relatives and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Douglas Cadwell, and parents, Lawrence and Henrietta Knutson.
