**Please note this different location** Visitation with the family present to greet friends will be from 12:00 – 2:00 pm Sunday at Miller Funeral Home Downtown, 507 S. Main Ave., Sioux Falls, SD 57104.

Born on November 9, 1962, to Jake Ralph and Dorothy Ann (Lunn) Roemeling in Sioux Falls, SD. Mary was a shining light in our community. After completing her education at Lincoln High School in 1981, she earned an Associate's degree in Legal Secretarial Studies from Nettleton Business College.

Mary dedicated her career to helping others through employment at Pioneer Enterprises (George Boom Funeral Home and on-site crematory and Miller Funeral Home on-site crematory), First PREMIER Bank and Bankcard, and most recently, as an accounting assistant with the Sioux Falls Housing and Redevelopment Commission. During this time, she remained working part-time at Miller Funeral Home, where her kindness and compassion touched the lives of countless families.

Outside of work, Mary embraced life with an adventurous spirit. She loved going for walks, participating in water aerobics, and traveling, especially on cruises with her sister, family and friends.  Mary was also a passionate supporter of local sports, frequently attending Sioux Falls Skyforce basketball and Sioux Falls Canaries baseball games. Her social nature allowed her to forge deep connections with many friends, but nothing brought her greater joy than being with her family, both near and far.

Mary was extremely grateful by the support, love, prayers and friendship that she received during her cancer journey.

Mary is survived by her devoted sister, Sue Roemeling, and her brother, Jake (Shelley) Roemeling, both of Sioux Falls, SD. She is also lovingly remembered by her nephew, Jake Roemeling; her nieces, Taylor and Jordan Roemeling;  bonus nephews, Dylan Patzwald, Evan Patzwald and Caden Patzwald, all of Sioux Falls, SD, and a wide circle of cherished friends. Mary's presence will surely be missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Jake R. and Dorothy A. Roemeling.
