Michael Andrew Thompson, 34 of Sioux Falls, SD, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024.

Visitation with the family present will be from 5 to 7 pm and a prayer service with sharing of memories at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at the Miller Westside Chapel, 6200 West 41st Street. In lieu of flowers you can Plant A Tree In Michael's Memory

Michael Andrew Thompson, son of John and Krystal (Ebright) Thompson, was born on May 10, 1990, in Sioux Falls, SD. He attended school at Jane Addams Elementary, Oscar Howe Elementary, Memorial Middle School, and Roosevelt High School in Sioux Falls graduating in 2008.

Michael had a variety of skills and worked at various jobs mostly involving HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and framing. Recently he worked with Climate Systems, Hander Plumbing and Heating, and Pioneer Property Management.

Fun-loving and very comical, Michael loved golfing and was an amazing bowler. He was known for movie quotes, singing, and his love of music. He cherished time spent with his nieces and nephew and especially his Belgian Malinois Linkin. His was a heart of gold that will be greatly missed.

Grateful for having shared his life are his parents John and Krystal Thompson, Sioux Falls, SD; sister Rochelle Boone and her husband Nick, Sioux Falls, SD; grandparents Wayne and Roxie Ebright, Worthing, SD; nephew Jackson; nieces Mackenzie and Elaina; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; and many close friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents Warren and Shirley Thompson, and great-grandmother Gladys Wray. Grandma Gladys had a quote that Michael had displayed in his house and he liked to share it with others: Love many, trust few, always paddle your own canoe!
