Michelle Kilbourn, age 47, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Ava's Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD. She was born on April 22, 1977, to Ronald and Patricia Raabe in Sioux Falls, SD.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025, from 5 PM to 7 PM, followed by a wake service at 7 PM at Miller Funeral Home Hartford Chapel. The Funeral Mass is held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 10 AM at St. George Catholic Church, located at 408 S. Western Ave, Hartford, SD. Interment will follow at St. George Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to support the twins' college funds.
Michelle graduated from West Central High School in 1995 in Hartford, SD. Throughout her school years, she was involved in various activities, including band, FHA, swimming, and bowling. After graduating high school, she began her career at Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield insurance company, starting in the mailroom and eventually advancing to Senior System Liaison.
On March 24, 2007, she married the love of her life, Chris, at St. Michael Parish. In 2012, they adopted their newborn twins, Angelo and Lorenzo. Michelle was actively engaged in the community; she served on the planning and zoning board for Hartford and was the PTA president for West Central for many years.
Her hobbies included crafting, camping, reading, and bowling. Once the boys got involved in sports, Michelle became a devoted soccer mom and their biggest cheerleader, always excited to support them.
Grateful to have shared her life are her husband, Chris Kilbourn; sons, Angelo and Lorenzo Kilbourn; father, Ronald Raabe (Cheryl Zell); sister, Amber (Cory) Davis; mother-in-law, Martha Kilbourn; brother-in-law, Matthew Kilbourn; nephews and niece, Jesse Schultz, Matthew Davis, Tricia Davis; numerous family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Raabe; her grandparents, John and Virginia Bode; Eugene and Liz Raabe; aunt, Pamela (Gary) Abell; and uncle, Terry Baltzer.
