Michelle Kay Sedelmeier, Aunt Chelle, aged 55, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 5th, 2026, at Viborg Hospital, surrounded by family. She was born on August 4, 1970, in Sioux Falls, SD, to Stephen and Star Lund. She was a proud resident of Sioux Falls, SD, and was a 1988 graduate of Washington High School. She married Randy J. Sedelmeier, on September 27, 1997, in Omaha, NE.

She worked at the library as a custodian for the City of Sioux Falls, where she loved working in the library with all the books and children. Michelle had a love for books.  Michelle was loved by family and friends. She has often been described as loving and kind to everyone and an amazing co-worker. Michelle's family, her dogs, and travel were her biggest passions. Michelle always had the ability to make anyone smile.

She is survived by her older brothers, Todd Lund, Brian Lund, Shawn (Quin) Lund, Steve (Jaqueline) Lund; sister Heather Lund; stepchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by both of her parents; her sister, Robin Lund Harris; brother, Robbie Jansen, and her Grandmother Babe.

Family, friends, and others are invited to the Miller Funeral Home Downtown Chapel at 507 S. Main Ave. Sioux Falls, SD, from 5-7pm on Thursday January 15th, with a memorial service starting at 6:30 pm, to reminisce and honor the life of Michelle. The burial will be held at Hurley Cemetery (75 Zandhoek Rd. Hurley, SD) at 11am on Friday, January 16th, 2026.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society, a cause dear to Michelle's heart.
