Nancy Anne (Bjorkman) Pulford, loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on August 3, 2026 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD with her family by her side. She was 74 years old.

Services will be held 10:00am Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Risen Savior Catholic Church, 301 N. Splitrock Blvd, Brandon, SD 57005. The family will be present to greet friends from 5:00-7:00pm with a 6:30 prayer service Friday, August 14, 2026 at Miller Southside Chapel, 7400 S. Minnesota Ave., Sioux Falls, SD 57108.

Nancy Bjorkman was born October 31,1951 in Wessington Springs, SD to John and Nicki (Anton) Bjorkman. Her family lived in several small towns across South Dakota, following her father's job with the Milwaukee railroad.  Ultimately she graduated from Kimball High School in 1969. Following high school, she attended Nettleton Business College in Sioux Falls. It was there that she met Bob Pulford.

On April 7, 1972 Bob and Nancy were married. Residing in Sioux Falls, the couple built and purchased their first home and became loving parents to their three children. After twenty-nine years with Sioux Valley/Sanford Hospital (and after several "retirements") she officially retired in 2014.

Nancy and Bob were first members at Christ the King Church, then became charter members of Saint Michael and worshiped there for many years.  They are currently members at Holy Spirit. Nancy's strong Catholic faith, devotion to the Saints and belief in the Angels often helped her to let go of worry and control, giving her purpose and peace throughout her life.

Bob and Nancy enjoyed camping throughout their entire life together. From tents to a pop-up camper, then from motorhomes to their lake home—they loved to spend time together with family and friends outdoors and on Lake Shetek in Minnesota.  For the last five years, they wintered in Mission, TX.

Nancy loved to spend time with her friends and family, but especially her grandchildren. Whenever she was invited or asked to participate in their activities, she said "YES!" if she was able. Bob even gave her the nickname "Grandma Yes-Yes"… (which she both loved and hated,  depending on the particulars!)

A talented quilter, Nancy made it her life's mission to wrap those she loved in quilts.  She amassed a quilt shop's worth of fabric and supplies, so she was never without a project to work on.  She cherished the time she had creating with her quilter friends.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Bob; daughter, Theresa Doss (Larry, Bennett, Logan) of Brandon, SD; son, Andy Pulford (Alison, Grace, Jack) of Brandon, SD; Robyn Knecht (Gary, Avery, Claire, Quinn) of Chamberlain SD; her three brothers Bob Bjorkman(Paulette) of Omaha NE, Joe Bjorkman (Kaye) of Burbank SD, and Tim and Kay Bjorkman of Sioux Falls—along with many cherished cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Honoring her generous wish, the gift of life was shared with many people in need through organ and tissue donation.
