Neal Shane Kroetch, 61, of Sioux Falls, passed away Friday, February 14, 2025, at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. He was born on December 22, 1963, to Ralph and Gertrude (Thomas) Kroetch in Phillip, SD, and was baptized in the Catholic Church.

After his high school graduation, he joined the U.S. Army, and after he served his country, he went to Vocational Training in Retail Meat Cutting at Mitchell Area Vo-Tech in Mitchell, SD. He then worked at Morrill Meat Packing of Sioux Falls and several meat market-cutting businesses.

In 1991, he married the love of his life, Rhonda Toner, in Sioux Falls, SD. They moved to Tucson, AZ, to enjoy the warmer weather and new jobs. His primary occupation throughout his life was public transportation, and he spent over 28 years in Tucson, AZ; Sioux Falls, SD; Denver, CO; and Carson City, NV.

Neal was a very good worker and always did his work to the best of his ability. He enjoyed working with people and helping out whenever he could. He loved to cook and share his cooking with his family and co-workers to enjoy. The holidays were significant to him to celebrate and be together for a family meal. One of his favorite things to do was tell stories about things that had happened to anyone who would listen.

Rhonda and Neal were proud owners of Pomeranian dogs, which were very special to both of them, and they were Pepper, Clem, BeBe, and Roxy.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Jeremiah Kroetch; siblings, Ralph (Carol) Kroetch, Karen (Roger) Hart, and Valerie Kroetch; grandson, Warwick Kroetch; parents-in-law, Dennis and Sandra Toner; sister-in-law, Ramona (Jamie) Skidmore.

Preceding him in death are his Wife in 2024, Rhonda Kroetch, Parents, Ralph & Gertrude Kroetch, and beloved dogs, Pepper, Clem, BeBe, and Roxy; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Private Interment will be held at the Clinton Cemetery at a later date.
