Patricia Ann "Mommo" White, age 84, passed away in her Viborg, SD home on Monday, May 5, 2025 surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Pat was born March 17, 1941 in Norfolk, Iowa. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Freida Fenske.  She grew up in Sheldon, Iowa and lived in Northwest Indiana for many years before settling in South Dakota in 1979.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 30 plus years, David White; son, Jimmy Verdoorn; great-grandson, Marcus Medina; sister, Norma Groen; and brother, Jerry Fenske.

"Mommo" is survived by brothers, Gene Fenske and Russell Fenske; Children: Randy (Robin) Verdoorn, Kelly (Matt) Happeny, Jeff (Candace) Verdoorn, and Angel (Victor) Garcia; Step-Children: David K. White, Ray (Donna) White, David K. "Bubba" White, Dennis (Michelle) White; Grandchildren: Zack Verdoorn, Nathan Schreiner, Marisa (Adam) Johnson, Fawn (Dustin) Medina, Becky (Charles) Lamb, Trisha (Paul) Cline, Bear (Lila) Patillo, Jacque (Kyle) Engen and Josh (Rumor) White; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and "adopted" family members.

Pat spent her working years as an over-the- road truck driver with the handle of "Road Toad", as well as, a pork trimmer at John Morrell in Sioux Falls, SD.  She loved fishing and camping, all things purple, and her collection of frogs. She was brutally honest with no "filter".  She had a great sense of humor. She loved her family with her whole heart and was loved in return by many.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
