Randall "Randy" Dee Roskens, 79, of Sioux Falls, SD, passed away on November 4, 2025, from injuries sustained in a house fire.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Miller Southside Chapel, 7400 S. Minnesota Avenue (81st and Minnesota Ave) in Sioux Falls. Randy was born on May 18, 1946, in Seattle, Washington, to Edward and Fern (Johnson) Roskens. He grew up in Sioux Falls, where he attended public schools and graduated from Washington High School in 1964. During his school years, Randy's athletic talent shone brightly—he was named Baseball Legion Player of the Year in 1964, a highlight he fondly remembered throughout his life.

After high school, Randy began working at the Argus Leader before starting a 30-year career at John Morrell & Co. Around the same time, he proudly served in the Army National Guard. On April 6, 1968, Randy married the love of his life, Karen (Eddins). Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and hard work.

As Randy neared retirement from Morrell's, his entrepreneurial spirit led him to create Roskens Dakota Pizza and open a lounge in Crooks, SD—establishing a beloved local gathering place known for great food and friendly conversation.

Randy's passion for sports continued throughout his life. A gifted athlete, he bowled three perfect 300 games and was well-known on the fast-pitch softball circuit, where he earned the nickname "Ragarm" for his signature shoulder-shaking wind-up before pitches. He was also an avid fisherman, hunter, and golfer, and in his retirement years, he remained fiercely competitive in Senior Bowling Leagues and Senior Long Drive golf contests across the country.

Above all, Randy was devoted to his family. He loved being surrounded by those he cared for, always ready with a story, a joke, or a helping hand. His easygoing nature, sense of humor, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Grateful for having shared his life are his beloved wife, Karen Roskens of Sioux Falls; daughters Tracy Roskens of Pearl River, LA, and Kelly Roskens of Crooks, SD; grandchildren Chelsey, Chase, and Alex; great-grandchildren (4); and brothers Van Roskens of Sioux Falls and Danny Roskens of Henderson, NV.

Randy's family and friends take comfort in knowing that his generous heart, love of life, and joyful spirit will live on in the memories he leaves behind.
