Robert "Bob" Doescher, 86, of Sioux Falls, SD passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025 with his daughters by his side at Avera Dougherty Hospice in Sioux Falls, SD.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Friday, October 3, at First Lutheran Church, 327 S. Dakota Ave., Sioux Falls, SD with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Visitation with the family present to greet friends will be 4:00 – 6:00 pm Thursday, October 2, at Miller Funeral Home Downtown, 507 S. Main Ave., Sioux Falls, SD.

Bob, son of Orville and Sadie (Johnson) Doescher, was born in Chester, SD, and grew up in Parker, where he made many lifelong friends.  He attended Augustana College, where he not only earned his accounting degree but also met the love of his life, Margaret Williams. They were united in marriage on August 6, 1960, at First Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls.  This union was blessed with four children.

Following his graduation, Bob embarked on a career as a Certified Public Accountant. He dedicated the majority of his professional life to the Good Samaritan Society, retiring after a long and respected career in 2002.

Bob was a devoted member of First Lutheran Church, where he faithfully attended the weekly men's Bible study. He also gave of his time and talents by serving on numerous boards throughout the community.

In his free time, Bob most enjoyed being with his family, whether by cheering at one of his grandchildren's many activities, spending time trapshooting and hunting, or attending a symphony orchestra concert. His greatest pride was found in his role as husband, father, and grandfather.

Blessed for having shared his life are Bob's daughters, Robin Burke (Michael), Sparta, Ill., LeAnne Klemme (Kevin), Sioux Falls, SD, and Sarah Muller (Seth), Sioux Falls, SD; daughter-in-law, Jennifer (Kucera) Doescher; grandchildren, Christopher (Cassie), Elizabeth (Daniel), Sadie, Drew, Andrew, Carter, Ellie, Isaac, Maxwell, and Micah; 2 great-grandchildren, Claire and Shepherd; 3 step-grandchildren and 5 step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Philip (Kathleen) Doescher and their children Michael, Amy (Brian), Nathan, and Andrew (Diana).

In his passing, Bob will join all the saints who have gone before, including his beloved wife, Margaret; son Mark; parents, Sadie and Orville; and brothers, Leon and Earl.
