Robert Horner, 66, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024, at this home, surrounded by his loving family. Private services will be held at a later date.

Robert Ray Horner was born in Everett Washington to Arnold and Norma (Houska) Horner on Feb 28, 1958. In 1960 Rob and his family returned to Wagner. He grew up on 3 different farms. He attended school grades at Byron and Ravina then graduated High School in Wagner. Participating in 4H as well as football and wrestling were his favorite activities. In his Senior year, he was chosen as Outstanding Senior. After graduation, he worked in auto repair before attending mechanic school in Laramie Wyoming. He worked at the Chevrolet dealership in Sioux Falls. After a car accident, Rob went back to school and became a Civil Engineer working for the city of Sioux Falls until his retirement. He was also an avid woodworker and could make anything.

In 1979, he married Cindy Wood and together they had three children: Jeremey (Kerri), Joshua (Amanda), and Crystalyn (Skip). They were and still are the biggest joy of his life.

He left behind his three children and seven grandchildren, Ben, Abi, Nate, Liam, Eli, Hexton, and Mady; they meant so much to him. He was preceded in death by his mother Norma.
