Robert (Bob) Fleming died on Friday, October 18, 2024, at Bethany Home in Brandon, SD. He was 87 years old.

Robert Randle Fleming was born on December 27, 1936, in Runnemede, NJ to William and Beatrice (Randle) Fleming. He graduated from Audubon High School in 1955. He earned an Associate Degree in Technology from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA in 1958. Bob was an Air Force veteran, serving from 1958 to 1962.

While serving in the Air Force, he met Marilyn Fehlberg in Montana. Bob and Marilyn united in marriage on August 5, 1960, in Kalispell, MT. Throughout Bob's military and civilian career, he and Marilyn resided in Bigfork, MT; Kirkland Lake, ON Canada; Long Branch, NJ; Runnemede, NJ; Gardena, CA; Wichita, KS; Tucson, AZ; Lynchburg, VA; Jacksonville, AR; and Columbus, OH. In 1976 Bob and family made Sioux Falls, SD their home.

Throughout his career Bob worked as an Electronic Communications Technician at General Electric, TRW, and MCI WorldCom, which later became MCI Inc. Bob retired from MCI Inc. in 1998 after 25 years of employment.
Bob and Marilyn enjoyed traveling and particularly enjoyed their trips to the Jersey shore. Bob loved everything about trains, including model trains. Bob was a fan of sprint car racing and was a fixture at both Huset's and Hartford speedways. He also enjoyed golfing and fishing with friends.

Grateful for having shared his life are his children, Jim (Kim) Fleming, Tulsa, OK; Heidi (Troy) Coatsworth and Mike (Lori) Fleming, both of Sioux Falls, SD. One brother, Donald Fleming of Cocoa Beach, FL and many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marilyn, and a sister Audrey Evanchak of Hollister, CA.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 25, 2024, at Miller Funeral Home, 507 S. Main Ave, Sioux Falls, SD. Visitation begins at 10:00 am with family present.
