Obituary

"I was born in Ft. Worth, Tx and lived in Arlington, Tx for 17 years. I moved to Boulder, Co and lived there for 11 years. I met Daniel, my husband, in Boulder, in 1976 and we've been together ever since. He has truly been my best friend and soul mate. I graduated from the Boulder School of Massage Therapy in 1976 and in 1986 opened the South Dakota School of Massage Therapy. It has been a very rewarding career. In 1980 we had our first daughter, Thea (Mark Fox), and in 1981 we moved to Sioux Falls, Daniel's home town. In 1985, we had our second daughter Josie Lee, and in 2007 our grandson Cameron was born.

I am grateful to have shared my life with my family: husband Daniel, daughters Thea and Josie, Grandson Cameron, brother Jimmy (Hodie) Staples, sisters, Janie Altgelt, Sherry Hipple, Debbie Driver (Tony Driver) and Tracy Staples and my bonus son David Koehler, his wife Char, and children Nick and Sheridan, as well as my many nieces and nephews and friends and neighbors.

Those proceeding me in passing, my parents, Monroe and Pat Staples, my 12 year old niece Taylor Altgelt, and my 18 month old nephew Canyon Douglas."

Our lovely precious Robin, who was our inspiration and example of love and light, passed on Thursday morning, November 5th, 2009. We have been so blessed and honored to have been able to take care of her during her last few weeks at home and we were especially grateful to have had a "celebration of life" where family and friends came to laugh, sing, dance and love with her while she was alive. She felt so blessed and humbled to have had so many people love her. Thank you to all who loved her, because she truly loved you.
