Ronald Kaiser, 72, 0f Sioux Falls, SD passed away on Sunday December 29, 2024.

Memorial service will be 10:00 am Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Miller Funeral Home Downtown, 507 S. Main Ave., Sioux Falls, SD with burial at South Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Sioux Falls, SD.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.

Ronald Arvid Kaiser, son of Arvid and Lucille (Madson) Kaiser, was born November 16, 1952 in Detroit Lakes, MN.  He grew up on the family farm near Audubon, MN where he graduated from high school in 1970.  He stayed around for four years to help his parents around the farm.  He entered the US Army in 1974 where he served in Fort Carson Colorado.  He was honorably discharged in 1977.

He returned where he worked at several restaurants in Fargo, ND area.  He also enrolled in some culinary classes during that time.

He met Nancy Wznick in 1983, and they were united in marriage on July 14, 1984 in West Fargo, ND.  They were blessed with a daughter, Erin.  He continued to work in the Fargo/Morehead area until the family moved to Detroit Lakes, MN.  He worked at the Turkey Processing Plant there.

In 1992, they moved to Sioux Falls where he worked at John Morrell/Smithfield for 17 years.  He then worked at StarMark Cabinetry until his retirement in 2023.

Ronald was a bit of a handyman and had enjoyed planting flowers each Spring.  He enjoyed doing his lawn work and being outside.  He was a very patient man.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Nancy of Sioux Falls and a daughter, Erin of Waite Park, MN.
