Memorial visitation with the family present to greet friends will be from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Monday, November 3, at Miller Funeral Home Downtown, 507 S. Main Ave., Sioux Falls, SD.
She was born February 3, 1949 to Albert "Gene" and June Sundberg. When she was young, she was very acrobatic and was a competitive baton twirler and cheerleader. Ronda graduated from Washington High School and Nettleton Business College. She was then employed with the Chamber of Commerce and then worked for over 30 years at Lutheran Social Services with the adoption program.
While attending college, she met Earl, the love of her life. They were loving parents to three daughters and moved out to the family farm north of Sioux Falls where they lived for 35 years. She enjoyed joyriding in their many Chevelles, Corvettes and Camaros throughout the years. Earl and Ronda enjoyed many trips and several cruises to the Caribbean, Maui, Italy and Alaska. They loved to travel.
Ronda was known for being beautiful inside and out, loving, giving, and patient. She loved sewing and fixing things for her family, painting, staining, wallpapering, remodeling, and refinishing furniture. She was our "Martha Stewart". She was an amazing mother and grandmother and the word "no" was never part of her vocabulary when it came to her grandchildren. Above all, she loved being with her family. She enjoyed going to all the kids and grandkids sporting events and being their biggest cheerleader.
After retirement they moved into Sioux Falls and Ronda loved playing MahJongg with friends and being a part of her Bible Study Group at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
Grateful for having shared her life are her husband Earl for 56 years, and three daughters: Lisa(Scott) Jones, Sioux Falls, SD, Tami (Grant) Groos, Colman, SD Gina (Brian) Hansen, Brandon, SD and 9 grandchildren: Caden, Gunnar, Gabby, and Ali Jones; Rilyn and Gavin Groos; Jersey, Gentry and Austin Hansen.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Russell.
