Our beloved Bradley Scott Wenande, known to all as Scott, left us too soon on Friday, April 11, 2025, in Orlando, Florida, following injuries from a car accident. He was 62 years young and filled every one of those years with laughter, love, and memorable moments.

Scott was born on September 22, 1962, in Bloomington, MN, to Gary and Virginia Wenande. Growing up in Bloomington, he attended the local public schools and graduated from Lincoln High School before pursuing his passion for learning. His exceptional mind led him to earn a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and graduate from the University of Minnesota Medical School, specializing in Dentistry and Orthodontics.

Scott was a proud father to three children: Brandon, Ben, and Brianna Wenande. In 2009, he found his perfect match in Laurie Kimball, who became his beloved wife and with whom he embraced the role of stepfather to Kelsie Byrd and Katie Schulz. Together, Scott and Laurie created a beautiful life between their homes in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Peoria, Arizona, surrounding themselves with a treasure trove of dear friends wherever they went.

For many wonderful years, Scott brightened countless smiles at Crist and Wenande Orthodontics in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. His staff adored him, not just as a boss but as a friend who loved bringing everyone together for fun-filled gatherings. Scott wasn't just a talented orthodontist—he was the kind of doctor who put patients at ease with his down-to-earth nature, endless jokes, and warm-hearted personality.

Anyone who knew Scott knew that he was the life of any gathering—his infectious enthusiasm and legendary cooking turned ordinary get-togethers into unforgettable celebrations. Music always filled his heart, and his genuine warmth made everyone feel welcome and appreciated. We will forever cherish him as a devoted husband and compassionate caretaker, a masterful planner of parties and adventures, the most wonderful "Boppa" who delighted his grandchildren with his silliness, and a loving brother whose bond with his siblings was unbreakable.

Celebrating Scott's life and mourning his passing are his mother, Ginny Wenande of Sun City, AZ; his loving wife, Laurie Wenande of Peoria, AZ; his sons, Brandon Wenande (Miranda) of Waverly, MN and Ben Wenande (Hailey) of Hanover, MN; his daughters, Brianna Wenande of Minneapolis, MN, Kelsie Byrd (Brooks) of Shoreview, MN, and Katie Schulz (Ben) of Hopkins, MN; 8 adoring grandchildren; his brother, Jeff Wenande (Angie) of Bloomington, MN; and his sisters, Jenny Wenande of Kansas City, MO and Angie (Eric) Weber of Montrose, CO. Scott was welcomed into heaven by his father, Gary Wenande.

We invite all who loved Scott to join us in celebrating his remarkable life on Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 2:00-4:00 pm at the Miller Funeral Home Southside Chapel, 7400 South Minnesota Avenue in Sioux Falls, SD. Come share your favorite "Scott stories" as we remember a man who truly knew how to live life to the fullest.

A celebration of Scott's Life Well Lived will also be held at Blackstone Country Club Courtyard in Peoria, Arizona on Sunday, May 18, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. All friends of Scott and Laurie are welcome to participate in this time to reminisce and share reflections. Light appetizers and cash bar available.
