Shane John Vanderloo, passed away Saturday, March 1st, 2025, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was 52. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Miller Funeral Home - Southside Chapel (7400 S. Minnesota Ave. Sioux Falls.) Per Shane's wishes, please wear sporting event attire to the service. The family will also greet friends for visitation at the funeral home from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.

Shane John Vanderloo was born on August 7, 1972, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to Joseph and Donna (Sneve) Vanderloo. He attended Lincoln High School and graduated in 1991. He then attended the Paramedic School Program at the University of South Dakota. He graduated in 1994 and was appointed his license as "Medic 38."

Shane married the love of his life, Tonia K. Lambert, on May 5, 1995, in Sioux Falls. They were blessed with two beautiful children, Danara and Daulton. Shane started his career as a Paramedic with Sioux Falls Ambulance in 1995. He went on to work as a Flight Paramedic for Avera McKennan Hospital for two years. From 1998 – 2002, Shane served as a Flight Paramedic for the Sioux Valley Hospital. He later worked as the Service Manager for Sioux Falls Ford and Sioux Falls Audi.

Shane enjoyed woodworking, cooking, and golfing. He loved spending summers coaching at the baseball field with his son Daulton. Above all, Shane cherished the time he spent with both of his children. Danara and Daulton were his pride and joy. Shane was so excited to learn that he was soon to be a grandpa! He spent every opportunity making positive memories with his family and could always make them smile.

Grateful for sharing his life are his loving wife of 30 years, Tonia Vanderloo; children, Danara (Sage Weddell) Vanderloo and Daulton Vanderloo; mother, Donna Vanderloo; siblings, Debbie (Gary) Anacker of Centerville, SD, Jeff (Patty) Vanderloo of Syracuse, UT; one grandson on the way; 13 nephews; 2 nieces; parents-in-law, Dan & Gayle Lambert; sisters-in-law, Angie (Scott Walters) Collins, Sonia Lambert; and brother-in-law, Dan Jr. (Joni) Lambert.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Vanderloo; brother, Jim Vanderloo; and grandparents, John and Hilda Vanderloo and Earl and Margaret Sneve.
