Sharon Kay Leischner, 79, passed away peacefully in Mesa, Arizona on Sunday, May 28, 2026.

Burial will be held at 10:30 am, Thursday, June 18, 2026 at the Parkston Protestant Cemetery, Parkston, SD.

Sharon was born to Reinhold and Martha (Fuerst) Leischner on October 29, 1946 in Parkston, SD. Sharon moved to Sioux Falls, SD with her family in 1948. She spent most of her life in Sioux Falls, attending school and working as a housekeeper at Mom and Dad's Nursing Home for may years. Sharon moved to Arizona with her sister, Jean, in 2002.

She is survived by 8 nieces, 3 nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Sharon loved to spend time with children and her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews have many wonderful memories of growing up with her.

Sharon loved to do crafts and give the things she made to people she loved. She loved to attend church and help with children's activities.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Reinhold and Martha; stepmother Anna Leischner; sisters Frances Bertsch, Jean Karras, Pearl Johnson; brother Roger Leischner and nephew Rodney Johnson.
