Sheila Arnell Wagner

Sheila Arnell Wagner, 75, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026, at Ava's House in Sioux Falls, with her family by her side. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, August 28, 2026, at Miller Funeral Home - Southside Chapel (7400 S. Minnesota Ave., Sioux Falls), with lunch to follow. Sheila and Gerald will be laid to rest together, with military honors presented in Gerald’s honor at Hills of Rest Cemetery.

Sheila was born on September 1, 1950, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Arnold Banse and Marjorie Nelson. She attended Lake Park High School and graduated in 1968.

On December 28, 1967, Sheila married Gerald Wagner. Together, they built a life centered on their family. Sheila was a devoted homemaker who took great pride in caring for her loved ones and creating a home filled with memories.

Sheila enjoyed crafts and gardening, fishing with Jerry, and spending time with her family. Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other loved ones held a special place in her heart.

Sheila is lovingly remembered by her children, Michelle Frederick, Brian Wagner (Amy), and Ann Anderson; her sister, Sharon Goode; her brother, Darryl Goode; her grandchildren, Brianna Frederick, Josh Wagner, Ethan Frederickson, Jared Frederickson, Hannah Wagner, Hunter Wagner, and Destinee Wagner; her many great-grandchildren; and her extended family and friends.

Sheila was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Wagner; her daughter, Lauri Crouse; her grandson, Logan Frederickson; and other loved ones who went before her.

Sheila will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. The memories she created and the love she shared with her family will continue to live on.
