Shirley Beth Price, of Dell Rapids, SD, formerly of Humboldt, SD, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 11, 2026 at her home. She was 90 years of age.

Visitation will be held 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at Miller Funeral Home (Downtown Location) 507 S. Main Ave, Sioux Falls, SD. A private family burial is being planned.

Shirley Beth (Kennedy) Price was born August 21,1935 to Alfred and Marguerite (Thompson) Kennedy in Valentine, NE. She lived in various states throughout her childhood as her dad traveled to work in the construction industry. The family settled in Idaho where she graduated from Boise High School in 1953.

In 1954, Shirley married Sam Robinson. They later divorced in 1967. Together they had 5 children-Alene, Richard, Lynn, Karen and Susan. In 1969, Shirley married the love of her life Marvin Price in Elko, Nevada. They had one child together, Todd. Marvin's daughter Leslie, from a prior marriage, also joined the family. They resided in Humboldt, South Dakota where they raised their 7 children.

Besides being a homemaker, Shirley worked as a baker in the kitchen for the West Central school district in Humboldt and then later at Kay's Casino and Kay's Casino Too. She was a member of the Humboldt American Legion Auxiliary. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, gardening, baking, putting together puzzles and taking care of all the neighborhood kids who stopped at the house regularly.

Grateful for having shared her life are her children; Alene Brandt, Leslie (Kevin) Peterson, Richard (Amelia) Robinson, Lynn (Sherry) Robinson, Susan Davis and Todd (Dawn) Price; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; sister in law Doris (Rich) Ping, sister in law Barbara Kennedy, and brother in law, Kenneth Price.

She is preceded in death by her husband Marvin; her parents; 2 brothers, sister in law Diana Price, and daughter, Karen Froeder.
