Stana
Erakovic
Mar 14, 1974 — Oct 26, 2025
Sioux Falls
Our beloved Stana Erakovic passed away on October 26, 2025, at the age of 51. She was a woman with the biggest heart and a smile that could light up any room. Her laugh and energy were contagious, and she will be deeply missed. Visitation will be held from 3:30 - 6:30 pm, Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Miller Funeral Home - Southside Chapel (7400 S. Minnesota Ave., Sioux Falls). Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, October 31, 2025, at Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church (1936 S. Summit Ave., Sioux Falls).
Stana was born on March 14, 1974, to Ilija and Smilja Erakovic in Drniš, Yugoslavia. Stana immigrated to Sioux Falls, SD, and began a new chapter in 2000. Throughout her life, she was a true example of perseverance, guided by her strong Serbian Orthodox faith and devotion to her family and friends.
As a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend, she found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed spending time with loved ones, traveling with her family, and, most recently, cherished every moment of being "Baba" to her grandson, Enzo. To know Stana was to know kindness; she was always ready to lend a helping hand, share a joke, or offer a beautiful smile. She will be remembered as a funny, happy, intelligent, kind, and loving soul.
Stana's memory is carried on by her husband, Mitar; her children, Milana (Austin Semmler), Milena (Taulant Selmani), and Aleksandar; her grandson, Enzo; her father, Ilija; her brothers, Dušan, Stanko, and Mirko; and her sisters, Dušanka, Mira, and Neda. She was preceded in death by her mother, Smilja.
Večnaja pamjat. May her memory be eternal.
Her pallbearers are: Aleksandar Arambasic (stepson), Austin Semmler (son-in-law), Brian Mesa (brother-in-law), Jasmin Sumic (dear family friend), Milan Lunic (nephew), and Taulant Selmani (son-in-law).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family to help with funeral arrangements.
