Tawny Teal, 29 of Sioux Falls, SD, passed away unexpectedly on August 12, 2025.

Please join the family on August 18th 2025 for a brief memorial service from 11am-12pm at Miller Funeral Home, 507 South Main Avenue, followed directly by a luncheon at Terrace Park in Sioux Falls.

Tawny Jean Teal (Sherod) Sept. 28th 1995- Aug. 12th 2025 made her miraculous entrance into the world on September 28, 1995 in Wilmar Minnesota to Valerie Sherod, with honorable mention of her twinskii that shared that life-altering day with her, Tyler Sherod. She entered into this world first and she wouldn't let anyone forget it. She was the sixth child out of seven to Valerie. She spent most of her life in Sioux Falls, SD.

In true Tawny fashion she was always a beacon of laughter and light. No matter the situation she never had to try to make someone's day brighter, it was just her way. Even in her darkest moments or yours she could make you smile and laugh.

In her life she loved wholeheartedly, even recklessly some would say. However, when it came to her family she would go to the ends of the earth for any of them. Her biggest blessings in life were the three beautiful lives she brought into this world, Raider, Justin Jr. & Rhyker. Even in the midst of life's chaos her love for her children was unwavering. Tawny's love was one of a kind. The love she gave freely to her family and those friends that became part of the family can never be replicated.

She had a huge passion for all things artistic, music being the main one. Tawny loved listening to all types of music and putting on her very own concert, obviously singing the songs much better (and much louder) than the original artist will forever be something that everyone that knew her will remember. If you ever feel like you can't hear her voice or feel her presence, put on some 90s-2000s R&B and crank it up & sing at the top of your lungs, we promise she will be there in that moment!

Tawny was welcomed home by her big brother Dakota, her Maternal Grandparents, and her nother Mom. Tawny is survived by her three children, Raider, Justin Jr. & Rhyker. Her Mom, Valerie Sherod and five of her siblings, Rebeka, Jess, Ricky, Cassie, and Tyler and all of their children, her nieces and nephews.

Tawny's family would like to thank everyone for their support during this trying time, from the monetary donations, words and prayers of support, and checking in on them. Any and all donations will be placed in a trust for her three children.
