Terrence "Terry" M. Baker, age 77, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Christ the King Catholic Church (1501 W. 26th St., Sioux Falls, SD). Family will be present for visitation from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Miller Funeral Home – Downtown Chapel (507 S. Main Ave., Sioux Falls, SD).

Terry was born on February 1, 1948 to Ronald and Alice (O'Hara) Baker in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He graduated from O'Gorman High School and went on to attend Notre Dame University before enlisting in the US Navy. He later graduated from Cal Poly Pomona University in California. Terry then earned his Master's Degree in Business Administration at the University of South Dakota. Terry worked in information technology for various companies over the years.

On January 29, 1972, Terry was married to Jeri Ann Pritchard. The couple had two children, Carrie and Christopher. A present father, Terry always made time for his children and their activities, and later in life, for his grandson as well. He was an excellent husband to Jeri in the 53 years that they were privileged to spend together. He was simply just fun to be around and had a great quick wit to his humor.

Terry made friends with ease and he kept up with them throughout his life. A social butterfly, he had his fishing friends, his hunting friends, his golf friends, and pinochle friends. Terry valued his relationships with others and still was in contact with life-long friends that he made as far back as high school. Terry was also incredibly smart and could best the contestants at jeopardy while watching at home.

He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and he will be missed immeasurably.

Grateful for sharing Terry's life with him are his wife, Jeri Baker of Sioux Falls, SD; his daughter, Carrie Baker of Houston, TX and her son Jeremiah Dalen; his brother, Condy (Kasey Jacobson) Baker of Sioux Falls, SD; and his sisters, Barbara Kolb of Sioux Falls, SD and Edith "Annie" (Bill) Strizich of Helena, MT.

He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher J. Baker; his parents, Ronald and Alice Baker; his brothers, Patrick, Richard and Gene Baker; his sister-in-law, Pam; and his brother-in-law, Robert.
