Theodora "Tedi" passed away on Monday, January 14, 2025, one week before her 90th birthday while in the Alcester Care and Rehab Center in Alcester, SD. Graveside services will take place at a later date.

Tedi was born on January 22, 1935, in Flandreau, SD, the daughter of Theodore and Louella (Paul) Lathrop. Theodore passed away before Tedi's birth. Louella married Ralph Bachman, who then adopted Tedi.

Tedi married Gene Thomas in 1951, in Sioux Falls, SD, and in 1959 she married Crawford Cox.

Tedi is survived by her 5 children, Julie Schulte of Sioux Falls, SD, Dwain (Carole) Thomas of Waubay, SD, Darrell (Stacy) Thomas of Sioux Falls, SD, Kenneth (Jocelyn) Cox of Santa Fe, TX, and Patrick Cox of DeKalb, TX; 8 grandchildren, Carissa Kemmis, Andrew Brown, Collin Thomas, Kelsey Jackson, Marley Hohn, Sarah Thomas, Emily Thomas, and Kelly Cox; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Tedi was preceded in death by her parents and 2 infant children, David and Daniel Thomas.
