Tracy Allen
Ishmael
Jul 23, 1960 — Dec 31, 2024
Sioux Falls
It is with great sadness that we share the news of Tracy Allen Ishmael's passing. He left us on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at the age of 64, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family.
Tracy was born on July 23, 1960, in Volga, South Dakota, to his loving parents, Darvin and Juanita (Watson) Ishmael. He grew up on a farm in eastern South Dakota, where he cherished his childhood and attended Brandon Valley Public Schools. From an early age, Tracy learned the value of hard work, helping raise cattle, sheep, pigs, a goat named Trixie, a donkey named Jeannie, and horses on the family farm. He later worked closely with his father as a mechanic at Siouxland Insulation for eight years, sharing a special bond forged through their work together.
On September 26, 1981, he married Allison Iwerks at the Little Stone Church in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Together, they settled in Sioux Falls and welcomed three children into their lives, building a family filled with love and joy. They also established their own residential painting business, Triple T Service, creating a shared legacy. Following their separation, Tracy continued to work hard as a mechanic at Jiffy Lube, where he was promoted to manager and proudly led the team for about six years.
Those who knew Tracy often remarked on his many talents and described him as a true "Jack of all trades." He found immense joy in life's simple pleasures, especially camping at the River in Chamberlain and indulging in his greatest passion—fishing.
Tracy's memory will forever live on in the hearts of his children: Rob Bowden, Trisha (Anthony) Weeg, Tanya Ishmael, and Chris Ishmael. He also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren—Destiny, Gage, Evangaleen, Maxwell, and Shawn "Jr." Additionally, he is survived by two sisters, Sabrina Persing and Ann (Travis) Anderson, who will miss him dearly.
Tracy is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Darvin and Juanita Ishmael, and two sisters, DeAnna Willis and Brenda Watson. He leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and cherished memories that will be held close by all who knew him.
