Tyler Jay Newville, Sioux Falls, SD, died November 20, 2009, due to complications of H1N1 influenza. He was 12.
Born on September 5, 1997 in Storm Lake, Iowa, Tyler Jay Newville attended public school in New Ulm, MN. In October 2005, he moved to Sioux Falls with his family, where he attended Eugene Field and Rosa Parks Elementary Schools. Tyler was currently a sixth grade student at Patrick Henry Middle School.
Tyler was active in South Dakota Jr. Football and had played for three years. He loved following pro-football and was a huge fan of the Minnesota Vikings. In his free time, he liked playing X Box, following WWE, cuddling with his mom, and enjoyed hanging out with the neighborhood kids. Tyler always looked forward to the summer months; camping, fishing, swimming, and visiting family. Tyler had a rascally side, too. He liked wrestling on the floor with his uncles, dad, and his mom. He was most recently interested in history with war planes and ships. He was a member of the Celebrate Community Church Youth Group.
Tyler had a big tender heart and was compassionate beyond his years. By nature, he consoled people – and always left them with a warm smile. With arms wide open, he always had a hug for family and friends. There was always an "I love you" at the tip of his tongue. May his memory be forever cherished.
Grateful for having shared his life are his parents, Tim and Renee Newville, Sioux Falls, SD; half-sister, Sydney Park, Northfield, MN; grandparents, Ron and Marcia Baumgard, Fulda, MN and Jack and Rosalie Newville, Welcome, MN; great-grandmothers, Vaunita Wolter, Fairmont, MN, and Mary Holtrop, Fulda, MN; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
