Charlotte D. Jensen, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Sanford USD Medical Center, Sioux Falls. Charlotte was 86.

Charlotte was born July 15, 1936 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to Harland and Elizabeth (Boelson) Elliott. Growing up, Charlotte attended multiple high schools; her freshman year at Harrisburg High, sophomore year at Beresford High and junior and senior years at Colton High.

Charlotte spent many years living in Parker where she raised her children. There, she managed the Parker Motel and did cleaning.

In 1983, Charlotte moved to Sioux Falls where she was employed at Sunshine Café for many years. With the closing of the café, she started work at Good Samaritan Village where she became a certified nursing assistant. She also worked at Bethany Home and Coving Heights until her retirement in 2005.

Charlotte was a people person, as she could start a conversation with anyone. She loved going to thrift stores, rummage sales and flea markets. Charlotte also had a way with infants and children, as they always adored her.

Charlotte's loved being "Gramz." She loved her grandchildren more then anything and enjoyed watching them at their sporting events and/or school activities. However, family gatherings and holidays were Charlotte's greatest passions.

In her spare time, Charlotte enjoyed reading and embroidering. Both interest, Charlotte shared and passed on to her children and grandchildren.

Always there to help out anyone in need, Charlotte loved well and was well loved. She will truly be missed!

Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Brian Gronsdahl of Graham, WA, Susan Hill of Watertown, SD, Richard Lingle of Sioux Falls, Renae Jewell of Sioux Falls, Wilma Scholl of Arizona, Beth Lewison of Yankton, SD and Sara (Ray) Jensen of Sioux Falls; 11 grandchildren, Colton, Sarah, David, Josh, Jessica, Joe, Eva, Rocky, Melody, Andrea and Olivia; and 11 great-grandchildren, Ashley, Lokas, Ivan, Brandon, Jewel, Ramona, Jayden, Jaden, Desmond, Payton and Parker.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Harland and Elizabeth Elliot; daughter, Kimberligh Gronsdahl; son, Bobby Lewison; brothers, Roy, Ray, Herman and Delwin; sisters, Viola, Patty, Delight and Judy; and a great-great-grandson.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, with family present to greet friends beginning at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Miller Funeral Home – downtown, 507 S. Main Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD.
