Jacobs
Feb 23, 1929 — Jan 6, 2026
Waco
January 6, 2026, our dear Lord and Savior called His good and faithful servant, Lorna K. Jacobs, home. Lorna was a devoted and cherished member of her community and passed away at 96. She was born on February 23, 1929, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to Henry and Marie (Martens) Mielke. Lorna attended Washington High School, where she met her husband, Ron Jacobs.
Lorna and Ron were married on October 2, 1949, and together they raised two children: Kathy, born in 1952, and David, born in 1955. As a proud Air Force bride, Lorna embodied the strength and resilience that accompanied military life.
Throughout her life, Lorna enjoyed weekly phone calls with family and friends, listening to old country music, engaging in circle words, staying active, and not taking naps.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Jacobs; her parents, Henry and Marie Mielke; her brothers, Ervin and Paul Mielke; and her daughter-in-law, Jean.
Lorna is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Robert) Hales; her son, David (Tammy) Jacobs; her granddaughters, Carri (James) Easley, Sarah (Abraham) Perez, and Shelby (Tyler) Dahl; and her grandsons, Adam (Maria) Hales, Andy (Kim) Jacobs, Matt (Erin) Jacobs, and Sam (Laura) Jacobs. Additionally, she leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Cameron, Kenzie, Kya, Decker, Letty, Olivia, Hadley, Everly, Benjamin, Tatianna, and Kinser, as well as a great-great-grandchild, Naomi, and a very special niece, Paula Semrau.
